The group functions under the influence and policies of the ARRL VEC and with support from GCARC.  Exams results are submitted to the FCC through the ARRL VEC.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">The team is comprised of a group of dedicated amateur operators who are almost all members of GCARC, operating within the framework of the Club&#8217;s goal of growing the ranks and skill levels of licensed amateur operators in our geographic area. As a result of this interaction, the GCARC Education Committee is also a strong supporter of the GCARC VE Team. If you are interested in becoming an ARRL-credentialed VE and working with the team, send an email to <a href=\"mailto:ad2cs@arrl.net\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>ad2cs@arrl.net<\/em><\/a> to start the credentialing process.  Chris Prioli AD2CS, our team VE Liaison, will be happy to shepherd you through the process and welcome you to the GCARC VE Team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">What we do&#8230;<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">As a team, we hold a minimum of fifteen FCC license exam sessions annually, with these sessions scheduled on a monthly basis and with an additional session offered annually at the GCARC Hamfest and ARRL SNJ Section Convention.  In addition, special sessions are often scheduled in conjunction with the ongoing educational programs offered by the Club, as well as occasional special sessions for individuals with special needs such as the need to be tested at home for reasons of personal health and fitness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">When and where we do it&#8230;<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">The regularly-scheduled monthly exam sessions are offered on the evening of the second Thursday of each month. The exam sessions begin at 1900 hrs (7:00 PM). Our test site is at the GCARC\/W2MMD Clubhouse, which is located on the Gloucester County 4-H Fairgrounds on NJ State Route 77, just south of Mullica Hill (see map below). Turn onto the fairgrounds access road from Route 77 and proceed to Clubhouse on the left side &#8211; the GCARC sign is located at the Club driveway along the fairgrounds access road.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Pre-registration is highly recommended so as to allow for the best possible planning. Exam fee payment should be made via PayPal from one of our <strong><em>Payment <\/em><\/strong>pages at the time of registration. There is one <strong><em>Payment <\/em><\/strong>page for <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/veteam.w2mmd.org\/wpve\/index.php\/payment\/\">adult candidates<\/a><\/em><\/strong>, and another for <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/veteam.w2mmd.org\/wpve\/index.php\/payment-youthful-candidates\/\">youthful candidates<\/a><\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Last seating is at 2000 hrs &#8211; no candidates will be accepted after that time.<\/em><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Map courtesy of Mappress&#8230;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">The pin in the map above shows the location of the GCARC Clubhouse on the Gloucester County-H Fairgrounds.  The fairgrounds are situated on the northbound side of NJ Route 77 (Bridgeton Pike) just south of the town of Mullica Hill, NJ.  There is a <em><strong>4-H Fairgrounds<\/strong> <\/em>sign on the side of the highway at the fairgrounds access road, and there is a yellow and blue sign for the <strong><em>GCARC\/W2MMD Radio Club<\/em><\/strong> at the Club&#8217;s driveway along the access road<em>.<\/em>  Click the left-pointing triangle along the left-hand edge of the map above to expand the map to the left.
